Donations

DFWMGRR is a volunteer based organization, and we rely 100% on donations to continue our efforts. Any amount is welcomed, and as a 501(c)3 organization your donation is tax deductible. Please consider our group as a recipient for any gift you are considering!

Monetary donations can be made by mail (check or money order), in person to a Board Member or Fundraising Committee Chair, or by Paypal. These donations can also be earmarked for specific use such as the Murphy Fund, Land Acquisition, or Sponsoring a Dog, among others.

Item donations are considered on a case-by-case basis. If breed-appropriate (large dog toys or crates for example) and within our policy guidelines, we are happy to accept item donations on Saturdays at adoption appointments or they may be given to any Member. Any items we cannot use are passed along to another group on your behalf.

Gift cards to Petco, PetsMart or other dog friendly business are always of use to DFWMGRR, as are general purpose cards for miscellaneous supplies. Gasoline cards are also wonderful for use in our Transport Van (volunteers supply their own fuel at no charge).

Angel Tree donations at Christmas, and also our donation drive at Christmas time, allow for larger expenditures that can be done once yearly, such as the purchase of microchips. Please consider holiday event donations if you see the opportunity.

Sporting Chance Golf Tournament donations include raffle tickets (sold each year by volunteers), sponsorship of a hole, entering the Tournament, Silent Auction items, etc. This event is our largest fund raiser of the year, so please consider your ability to support our cause.

Veterinary or Medical donations will also be considered on a case-by-case basis. Often we can use medical supplies or non-perishable veterinary items you might otherwise throw away, or perhaps your company is willing to donate. All of these items must be presented to a Board Member only, and will go directly to a Veterinarian for approval. Any items not approved for use will be destroyed.
